Succulent; a very unique and incredible species of plants that can easily get you hooked. They are the perfects plants you can use to decorate your garden with. Easy and quick to grow, these plants can easily strive in almost any weather and also do not require much attention or effort to be taken care of.  Some of them will be happy to absorb the hot blazing sun, while others may like a bit cooler environment. With their distinct and eye-catching appearances, they have become the interest of many people. From indoor to outdoor, you will often find these plants in houses, workplaces, and even offices, to add to the scenic beauty of the place.

If you too are a succulent lover and are looking for ways to design your garden, then we have just the right ideas for you. Below are 10 easy ideas you can use to make your garden look even more stunning than it already is.

1. Terrariums

You will often find many succulents held in transparent glass containers. These are known as terrariums. They are now easy and cheap to maintain and you can even prepare your own DIY Succulent terrarium at home. The transparent glass container helps to enhance the beauty of the plant and can easily be placed on your window sills or even hung on the walls in your house or your garden. You can customize it using your creativity. Taking a few paints and brushes, you can paint different patterns on the container to decorate it or add strings of pearls or other props to make it look even more appealing. Lining or covering the top layer of the soil with colored pebbles adds more color to the container. You can even add shells and crystals to make it look more attractive.

2. Succulent birdcage

This is a very unique but amazing idea to decorate your garden with. For this, you are going to require a small or a medium-sized birdcage. Use your paints and brushes to add some color to the cage. Once it is done, you can take different string succulent plants and leave them hanging on the cage. Interlock them a little with each other and let their strings hang down from the openings of the cage. This style looks very different and fascinating at the same time, adding an artistic touch to your garden.

3. Succulent wreath

A flower wreath will never get out of date. Making it a succulent one will be even better. Take a durable metal wreath and make use of coir liner to hold the potting mix. Then take your little succulents and line them into a ring shape to make it look like a wreath. Pack them with a good amount of soil for them to survive. Give them some days to get used to their new arrangement before hanging the beautiful wreath in your garden.

4. Recycling your Crockery

If you have teacups or bowls that you are tired of using and want to get rid of. Well simply put them into use, recycle and make them the perfect container for your succulent plants. We often have jars and containers in our house that we get bored with using and think and bout replacing them. Well, turn them into funky and cute looking pots for your garden. Implant your favorite succulent kind and use them to add more beauty to your place. You can even use your imagination to customize the pots and use your tools to turn them into masterpieces.

5. Boot Planters

It may sound a little odd but, indeed, you can also make use of your footwear to make your garden look unique and interesting. Take your old worn-out boots or shoes and clean them off. Stuff them with the soil suitable for your succulent you want to grow and plant it in. But do not forget to pierce moderate holes at the bottom of your shoes to allow the excess water to flow out. We are sure you would not be liking if your plant rots because of your carelessness.

6. Plant Shelf

You can also make a wooden shelf to display your succulents. You can use wooden boards for this and make two to three shelves and fix them in a pile, on top of each other. You can then place your succulent pots on the shelves itself and decorate it. Or you can simply secure the sides of the shelf with wooden pieces to make the whole shelf itself a container and directly put your soil on it and plant your succulents.

7. Succulent birdhouse

Another creative idea is to take a small to the medium-sized birdhouse and fill it up with soil. Find a way to get rid of the ceiling of the birdhouse to let your plant get all the air it needs and also so it can display its beauty once it has grown into a full parent plant. Use your talent to decorate the birdhouse to make it look even more attractive.

8. Basket Planters

Putting anything in a beautiful basket automatically enhances the beauty of the object. Similarly, if you try planting you succulent in a woven basket, it will look ten times more attractive than a normal clay pot container. You would not even have to worry about the hole for the container, as the woven basket already has many pores open that will automatically allow the water to seep out.

9. Rubber tire Planters

Old rubber tires are now commonly being used as containers for many plants. If you happen to have an old rubber tire that is not of any use, then don’t you dare throw it. Cut it in half and work your art on it. Once the tire is decorated, plant your succulent in.

10. Hypertufa planters

These are also now commonly being used to add more beauty to your gardens. You can now get them in different shapes and sizes and can dedicate a spot in your garden purely for the hypertufa planters.
